It is more and more common to find adults who want to start, or start again, studing the flute.   So we as teachers have developed some specific strategies to help the growing number of people who want to become good flute amateurs.   It takes really only a few lessons to master the first steps and to be able to start to make music.   You will discover your self what your possibilities are and decide how much you want to develop them and how much of your time you want to dedicate to the flute. 

 

If you played the flute before and have interrupted, you will be surprised of how much you will come back and how fast: flute playing is like bicicke rideing: once you learn it, you will never forget it.

 

 

 

The most common question are: Will I able to start from scratch (or after so many years)? Do I need to buy a flute right now?   How does flute playing fit in my busy schedule?   Actually adult learners are often better learners, because if on one side the lack the spontaneity of young children, on the other have much stronger motivation and determination and a clear task in mind.

 

 

 

Playing a musical instrument is a very nice way to meet new friends:  with so many amatorial chamber music groups and orchestras and with the internet (there are even youtube orchestras), more and more people find it easy to connect with other musicians, to meet and to play music together.  Playing the flute also helps you to keep fit, you will improve the way you breathe and your lung capacity. 

 

An inside knowledge of a musical instrument will help you to better understand the music you listen to when you go to concerts or listen to CDs.
